Enemies are NPCs that the player may encounter while journeying throughout the Maps. They may randomly wander through Portals, appearing on Maps they wouldn't normally spawn on.

Special Enemies

Angel/Cherub

High-level enemies found wielding Purity. Appears exclusively with a random amount of negative Blight when opening a Source Chest. Additionally they wield a version of the Lance of Longinus.

He Who Remains

This Enemy is not designed to be killed by the player, but instead to have T6 Time Stick used on him to gain Ali'oth's Chosen and Ali'oth. by pruning/dusting him.

Mini-Boss

Mini-Bosses may spawn naturally in the world as opposed to those that spawn via a cutscene. These Mini-Bosses are weaker and only have a small chance of dropping their Offhands if the player is below level 50. They do not have percent damage immunity.

Symbiote

Unique high-level enemies only found during the Event "An Invitation". They may spawn with the Parasite Innate and can also be found wielding Offhands, which they have a slight chance to drop when defeated.

They also have a chance to spawn with Corruption and they are able to infect Enemies by attacking them. Infected Enemies are unable to move or attack for a small duration of time to symbolize their process. Other Enemies who are not Symbiotes or Infected will begin to attack the Infected Enemy if they see them.

Immortal Soldier

Unique high-level enemies only found by a Guillotine user or during the "Aura the Guillotine Arc". They may spawn with high defense and can also be found wielding one of two Offhands.

Dusekkar

Low-health, high-damage Enemies spawned during the Ghosdeeri Event. Has a chance to drop the Dusekkar Accessory upon being defeated.

Enemy Modifiers

Certain Enemies may randomly appear with certain modifiers attached to them.

Stone Shields

All(?) Enemies have a chance to spawn with a Stone Shield. Enemies will not take damage until these shields are broken.

Stone Shields can only be broken with attacks from their respective Stones. If any other attack is used, the shield will flash and the attack will have no effect. A cracking effect will appear when damage is dealt to a Stone Shield. Shield strength varies depending on the Tier of the enemy

Certain Enemies may seem to gain Stone Shields mid-fight via the "Impervious" Innate.

Blight

The Casual, Professional, and Valley Enemies all have a small chance to spawn with a random amount of positive (Corruption) or negative Blight (Purity) .

Pumpkins

Enemies may sometimes appear with a fiery pumpkin on their heads, which drops as an interactable item when they are defeated. Interacting with it will cause the player to pick it up and carry it in their hands, preventing a number of actions while doing so.

There are three pumpkins that can appear: Darkseed (purple), Blizzaria (blue), and Eerie (green).

The only use for these pumpkins is to be carried to the white altar in Yorick's Resting Place for the summoning of Ghosdeeri.

Ley-Line

Enemies may randomly spawn with the Ley-Line planet equipped, and will drop it as an interactable item when defeated. Upon interacting with the dropped Ley-Line, the player receives and automatically equips a temporary version of Ley-Line, though there is a chance it drops a permanent version too.

The temporary Ley-Line works just like a Planet, but it's primary purpose is being delivered to the white altar in Yorick's Resting Place to enhance the Ghosdeeri boss fight into Ghosdeeri & Doomsekkar.

Agar

Enemies may sometimes spawn with a small, glowing octahedron above their heads called an "Agar", dropping it as an interactable item when defeated. Interacting with it will place the Agar on the player's head.

The Agar is temporary, and will be lost upon any character refresh.

Bringing three separate players, each carrying an Agar to the meteor during An Invitation will open a portal to Gorr, The God Butcher's boss arena, where all players that enter are also granted an Agar.

While carrying an Agar, both players and NPCs will have their Block (E) replaced with "Agar's Light", providing a brief parry window to some of Gorr's attacks. They also gain a passive revive, restoring them to 50% HP upon taking fatal damage one time.

Trivia

  • Enemies may aggro onto different Tier Enemies and fight to the death.
  • The vast majority of Casual, Professional, an Valley Enemies have a chance to drop Materials when defeated.
